All Work and No Play
Well, Jill is off to Napa Valley for a planning conference. She is staying at the Napa Valley Lodge in a one-bedroom efficiency and is probably enjoying a meal consisting of wine and cheese at this very moment.
In the meantime, Corey and I are having a meal consisting of cheese also... cheese and macaroni, while watching T.V. in our two-bedroom efficiency we call our home.
So is it all work and no play? You tell me.

The great news is that Tracy and the baby are heathly and doing great. Me on the otherhand is another story. See you guys and gals soon.

Another One Bites the Dust
Well, Jill's birthday has come and gone. It started out with me and Corey going to Hallmark to buy her a card and then to Blockbuster to buy her Grease on DVD. Well, we showed up at Blockbuster in Albany to buy her Grease, and even though their inventory said they had two copies of the Widescreen version, the manager was unable to find those. I should of listened to my instincts and avoided that particular Blockbuster.
So, Corey and I headed to Emeryville to BestBuy and purchased the Widescreen version there. BestBuy had 232 copies of the Full Screen version (TV size) but only 8 copies of the Widescreen version (Theater size). What's up with that? Why would you want to buy a DVD with both sides of the movie cut off to fit your TV screen instead of the full size version shown in theaters?
Anyhow, I dropped Corey off and met Jill at the Pyramid Brewery with fellow State Farm Agents Geoff and Edwin. We sat around and drank some locally brewed beer and ate dinner.
Soon after, Jill and I went home where Corey and I gave her her present. She was over-joyed (or was it the champaign?) but soon callapsed into bed.
Not a big party, but the older you get, the smaller parties still feel like big ones.

Baby
Tracy and I went to see a friend that is an Ultrasound Tech last week to see if we could determine the sex of our baby. It's not confirmed but I think we saw a tallywacker. Next month we will confirm the sex of the baby. I hope everyone is doing well.

Corey's First Day of School
Corey started his first day of High School today (pic of his High School to the right). After a long summer, I think he was ready to see his friends again. His best friend Ravi, spent the night with Corey on Monday after a family vacation in Texas.
Corey and Ravi rented "We Were Soldiers" from BlockBuster and we all watched it while having dinner. Corey and Ravi thought the movie was great, especially the scene where the reporter attempted to drag a soldier that was burned from napalm to a helicopter and his skin, meat, and muscle simply liquified in the reporters hands (yuck!)
Anyhow, Corey now has homework and is quite excited about his "Intro to Rock" class and is looking forward to playing the guitar.
Everyone wish him well!
